ESSIC Hosts NOAA NCAS Meeting

ESSIC hosted faculty, scientists, and students from each academic institutional partner of the NOAA Center for Atmospheric Sciences (NCAS), April 25-27. AOSC Sophomore selected as NOAA Hollings Scholar

Abigail Ahlert (sophomore, AOSC) has been selected as a 2013 Hollings Scholar by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Murtugudde presents back-to-back talks on ENSO

ESSIC / AOSC Professor, Raghu Murtugudde, presented a talk on the El Niño/La Niña–Southern Oscillation (ENSO) on two successive days. The first was as featured guest speaker at the Climate & Radiation Laboratory Seminar Series at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.  Murtugudde reprised the talk entitled "Do We Really Understand ENSO," the following afternoon at the UMD Atmospheric & Oceanic Science Departmental Seminar Series.
