New to Faculty Success in 2025

The UMD Faculty Success Team has been working to improve the Faculty Success experience. See below for a list of changes that have been made for the 2024 reporting period.

  • Biweekly update of identified author accepted manuscripts to the University Libraries digital repository – DRUM (see DRUM integration).
  • Opt-in access to ORCiD exports from Faculty Success (see Data Share).
  • Biweekly imports of publications from Academic Analytics (see Publications from Academic Analytics).
  • Activities page suggests publications for import or update to your Faculty Success data (see Proactive Publication Search).
  • The  University CV Template has been revamped with a streamlined layout. A  companion annotated version of the template is also available.
  • New how-to videos – eliminate duplicate entries w/Compare and Merge tool and exporting data
  • Committee and Reader roles now available in the Roles list for Research Advising (read more).
  • For Creative Scholarship, multiple roles for a single activity can now be documented within one entry, eliminating the need to create separate entries for each role. For instance, if someone served as both producer and director for a documentary, they can list both roles in one entry, which will generate a single citation in reports showing all roles.
  • The Annual Activity Report uses APA styling throughout and consistently includes dates with all citations.
  • Transitioned to Elevate/Workday to integrate with faculty appointment information.
