Biddle Supports Automated GLOS Data Archiving at NODC

Kenney selected for 2015 Sigma Xi Young Investigator Award

ESSIC Research Assistant Professor Melissa Kenney has been selected by the Scientific Research Society Sigma Xi as their 2015 Young Investigator Award recipient. The award was established by the Society's Board of Directors in 1996 “to recognize researchers in the early stages of their careers whose outstanding contributions best exemplify the ideals of Sigma Xi.” The award includes an honorarium of $5,000, a commemorative certificate and the opportunity to present the Young …

Li Honored, Speaks at Fall 2014 AGU Meeting

University of Maryland (UMD) ESSIC and AOSC Professor Zhanqing Li was both an extremely active participant and recipient at the annual Fall meeting of the American Geophysical Union (AGU), held in San Francisco, CA, December 15-19, 2014. Wu and Carter ESSIC 2014 Peer Award Winners

As part of ESSIC’s end-of-year holiday gathering, the Center continued the annual tradition of recognizing the accomplishments of its own faculty and staff, with two peer-based award for “Best Scientific Research Paper” and “Staff Employee of the Year.” The award for best paper was presented to Assistant Research Scientist Huan Wu.
