ESSIC Associate Research Scientist Hongbin Yu was an invited speaker at a NOAA-sponsored Symposium on “Airborne Dust, Climate Change, and Human Health” in Miami, Florida, May 19-21, 2015. His presentation was entitled “Characterization of the temporal-spatial variability of trans-Atlantic dust transport based on CALIPSO lidar measurements”. The conference theme addressed how climate change might affect future dust transport in the Greater Caribbean Region and what associated human health risks could occur as a result.
