This morning 4/18/12 Rashida and I attended a building tenant’s meeting hosted by COPT, the property managers. What we learned:  

1. Bike rack outside the building to be extended.
2. A round-a-about (traffic circle) rather than a traffic light, is under consideration for the intersection of River Road and University Research Court. No time frame mentioned.
3. New tenant on 2nd floor is Mid-Atlantic Crossroads occupying 10K sf.

Update on vendors: salmon products and pickles&olives (in bulk) now available.

Where: Lafayette and Queensbury (MARC station)
When: Thursdays from 3-7pm Fresh flowers, herb plants, homemade soaps … vegetables, artisan cheeses and bread, various meats/eggs, food vendors (fresh coffee, BBQ, Mexican food, crepes, Indian food, fresh donuts, ice cream). Raghu Murtugudde was an invited speaker at the Weston Roundtable Series on Sustainability, Nelson Institute for the Environment, University of Wisconsin-Madison, March 15.   He was interviewed by Maryland Public TV for a program on Sea Level Rise and Smith Island. Sinead Farrell was recently selected to serve as a science PI on the NASA ICESat-2 Science Definition Team. The Ice, Cloud, and Land Elevation Satellite-2 (ICESat-2) is the 2nd-generation of Earth-orbiting laser altimeter, which is scheduled for launch in early 2016 and will quantify changes in the Earth’s polar regions….
