Murtugudde quoted in Sun El Nino report

ESSIC / AOSC Professor Raghu Murtugudde was quoted in a Baltimore Sun article on the projected El Nino event and its impact on the state of Maryland.  Murtugudde cited the redistribution of heat and energy sources during an El Nino event, which can systematically alter global weather patterns.

Council on the Environment Announces 2014 Junior Faculty Award Winner

Meyer’s awarded Visualization Matching Grant

ESSIC Faculty Research Assistant Patrick Meyers was selected as a recipient of a UMD Division of Information Technology (DIT) grant for visualization hardware. The DIT call for proposals was designed to help UMCP achieve national leadership status in the use of visualization for data exploration and results presentation.
