A task led by the ESSIC-administered Cooperative Institute for Climate and Satellites-Maryland (CICS-MD) was cited in a recently released White House report. The task, which is led by ESSIC Research Assistant Professor Melissa Kenney, focuses on the Development of Climate Indicators for the National Climate Assessment. The report produced by the White House Council on Climate Preparedness and Resilience, cited the task in its recommendation for an Ecosystem Resilience Index.
