A study led by ESSIC’s Huan Wu and Bob Adler was recognized by the journal Water Resources Research (WRR) for its 2014 Editor’s Choice Award. The paper entitled, “Real-time global flood estimation using satellite-based precipitation and a coupled land surface and routing model,” describes and validates the group’s Global Flood Monitoring System (GFMS).
