ESSIC Assistant Research Scientist Ariana Sutton-Grier will participate Tuesday in a Capitol Hill panel discussion about Hurricane Sandy and coastal resilience. “Shoring Up: A science briefing on the potential of natural infrastructure to enhance the resilience of our nation’s coasts” is supported by COMPASS and the American Meteorological Society. Dr. Sutton-Grier studies human effects on ecosystem services and function, and the role of nutrient cycles on ecosystem restoration, water quality, biodiversity and climate change.
