Da-Lin Zhang and Russ Dickerson with postdoc Yi-Xuan Shou, published an article in Geophysical Research Letters, December 19, on their study showing that hot air blowing from Columbia, MD and Washington, DC may make Baltimore hotter during heat waves. Follow-up articles appeared in Nature, December 24 and the Baltimore Sun.
