ESSIC / AOSC Professor Raghu Murtugudde was featured in separate broadcast NBC and Al-Jazeera news segments, in which he discussed the White House National Climate Assessment report. Murtugudde singled out building HVAC systems in the NBC report, as being a tangible and attainable target in the reduction of global greenhouse gas emissions. In the Al-Jazeera report, Murtugudde cited increasing precipitation and sea-levels in the US Northeast coupled with the West Coast drought, as being supportive of an evolving climate.
