Tony Busalacchi chaired the panel that produced the report, “Options to Ensure the Climate Record from the NPOESS and GOES-R Spacecraft: A Workshop Report” published by The National Academies Press. The report presents summaries of discussions at the above named workshop, which included sessions on the measurements and sensors originally planned for NPOESS and GOES-R; generation of climate data records; mitigation options, including the role of international partners; and cross-cutting issues. Busalacchi was also Vice Chair on the eight-member advisory committee of the Climate Change Science Program Product Development Advisory Committee (CPDAC) which wrote the recently released Climate Change Science Program Synthesis and Assessment Product “Climate Models: An Assessment of Strengths and Limitations.”
