ESSIC Associate Research Scientist Sinéad Farrell was selected to serve as a member of the NASA ICESat-2 Science Definition Team through her proposal “Preparing for Launch: Optimizing the Performance of ICESat-2 for Sea Ice. This is Farrell’s 2nd term as a member of the ICESat-2 science team. NASA plan to launch ICESat-2 in 2017.
