Patricia Lawston, an ESSIC Post-doctoral Associate, was recently in the journal “Hydrology and Earth System Sciences.” The research is titled “Assessment of irrigation physics in a land surface modeling framework using non-traditional and human-practice datasets, Hydrol.” It develops a realistic representation of irrigation in order to better understand land-atmosphere interactions in agricultural areas.
Lawston also participated in the Soil Moisture Active Passive (SMAP) Cal/Val workshop, which occurred in Amherst, Massachusetts in late June.
