CICS Executive Director and ESSIC / AOSC Professor, Fernando Miralles-Wilhelm, was featured in a Forbes magazine Op-ed entitled, “When The Well Runs Dry: The Currency Of Water.” The Op-ed, which was co-authored by Dan Bena, Senior Director of Sustainable Development at PepsiCo, suggests that governments and communities alike must begin to approach water resource management as a cash flow like commodity, managed in a fiscally responsible manner.
