Yin publishes article with Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers

ESSIC assistant research scientist Jifu Yin has a new article published in the May issue of IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters about incorporating data from the Soil Moisture Active/Passive (SMAP) satellite into the NCEP Global Forecast System. The researchers evaluated bias-correction methods and found that they improved precipitation forecasts.
