ESSIC assistant research scientist Linette Boisvert recently published three papers in October. One journal published by the American Meteorological Society was co-written by ESSIC post-doctoral associate Alek Petty. This paper focused on the extreme 15/16 winter weather’s affect on the Barents-Kara Seas region in the Arctic.
A second journal was published by in the Geophysical Research Letters and featured ESSIC assistant research scientist Richard Cullather. This research letter reported out an analysis of the warmest Arctic winter from this past year.
The third journal Boisvert published was in the Journal of Geophysical Research Atmosphere and focused on September sea ice extent in the Arctic Ocean, and how atmospheric circulation anomalies influence it.
