ESSIC researchers Alexey Mishinov, Jim Reagan, and Matthew Biddle are co-authors of the newly released 2013 World Ocean Atlas, produced by the NOAA/NESDIS National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC). The annual Atlas is used to provide initial and boundary conditions for modeling studies, as well as baselines for climate studies. This version features higher resolution spatial scales and vertical resolution.
