ESSIC Seminars Now Posted on YouTube

ESSIC’s weekly seminars are now available for viewing on YouTube! The ESSICUMD YouTube channel houses nearly all of the seminars of the past year, and is constantly uploading new seminar recordings as they occur.

The ESSIC Seminar Series is a biweekly event meant to bring new science to the researchers of ESSIC and CISESS.  In the past, it has boasted such speakers as Dr. Norman Grody, one of the chief NESDIS scientists who helped design sensors such as the Advanced Microwave Sounding Unit, and Dr. Claire Parkinson, world-leading remote sensing expert, among other distinguished scientists.  These presentations are all available publicly on the YouTube channel.

Seminars are held every Monday during the UMD semester in the ESSIC Large Conference Room and are streamed live via WebEx.  Previously, after-the-fact viewing required viewers to reach out to the seminar coordinator for a direct link that would expire after a short length of time.  Now, seminar videos are accessible within a few hours of the event ending.

For more information about the ESSIC seminar series, see the schedule and archive here: https://go.umd.edu/essicseminar. For inquiries on future speakers, please contact the seminar coordinator John Xun Yang at jxyang@umd.edu.  For questions or suggestions about the YouTube channel, please contact Cazzy Medley at cazzy@umd.edu.
