Reminder–Nominations for Tawes and Coulter Awards close Friday, April 13!
Time is running out to nominate your environmental hero for the 35th annual Tawes Award for a Clean Environment and the James B. Coulter Government Employee Award. Â Award nominations and all supporting documentation must be received by Friday, April 13, 2012.
The Tawes Award recognizes individuals and civic, community and non-profit groups that have demonstrated outstanding efforts to enhance Maryland’s environment over a period of time or with a single project. There are separate categories for youth and adults. Nominations are also being accepted for the James B. Coulter Award, which acknowledges outstanding environmental contributions by a government employee.
The Tawes and Coulter awards are co-sponsored by Maryland Department of the Environment, Maryland Department of Natural Resources and the Maryland Petroleum Council. Â For more information on the awards please visit the MDE newsroom.
