Ā The story illustrates the growing trend from media and experts alike to both describe and personalizeĀ severe storms and extreme weather events, withĀ cliches and neologisms. Ā The author further suggests that use of the sometimes light-hearted andĀ flippantĀ terminology may in fact be Ā a “control assertion” response to situations where as people, we have none.
