ESSIC / AOSC professor and Jefferson Science Fellow (JSF) Suman Nigam was an invited speaker at the JSF Distinguished Lecture Series held at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, D.C. The talk titled "Seasonality over North America and Africa: "Insights and Impacts," addressed the significance of 20th century surface air temperature (SAT) trends and how these signals differ both seasonally and continentally. Nigam's talk was introduced by David J. Greene, of the US Department of State.
