Sutton-Grier attends CEC-sponsored blue carbon workshop in Mexico

ESSIC Assistant Research Scientist Ariana Sutton-Grier attended the North American Blue Carbon, Forest Carbon and Land Cover Experts’ Meeting in Sian Ka’an and Playa del Carmen, Mexico this month.   Sponsored by the Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC), the workshop brought experts together to identify and share models, tools and information that measure coastal blue carbon, and to discuss and develop guidance on optimizing blue carbon scientific research.
