As a review editor, Salawitch was responsible for assuring the scientific accuracy and clarity of the report drafted by scientists from 13 federal agencies. ESSIC Visiting Assistant Research Scientist Mohamad Hejazi is a co-author of a recently published study in Nature Energy. The paper titled “Vulnerability of US thermoelectric power generation to climate change when incorporating state-level environmental regulations,” finds that climate change alone has a smaller indirect impact on US thermoelectric generation, as compared to other modelling studies which have stressed larger impact. …
