ESSIC Assistant Research Scientist Lauren Zamora is a co-author of a recently published study in the European Geosciences Union journal Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics. The paper titled “Observation- and model-based estimates of particulate dry nitrogen deposition to the oceans,” concludes that current computer models are vital in assessing ocean nitrogen deposition—a nearly impossible task through direct monitoring–and should be developed further to better reproduce-represent observed levels.
